How Great You Art foi escrito pelo pastor sueco Carl G. Boberg que se inspirou em um passeio onde observava as maravilhas ao seu redor quando um vento lhe soprou aos ouvidos e lhe veio as palavras "Quão Grande És Tu...".

Publicada em 1891 no Testemunho da Verdade, o jornal semanal que Boberg editado. Posteriormente, foi traduzido em alemão. Em 1927, foi publicada em russo uma versão do texto alemão.
